Cub cadet 1250 International Garden Tractor no start.?

I bypassed the solenoid, the starter cranks and there is spark flickering at the end of the plug. Only turns over, will not start. Solenoid has two large nuts, one small one. First large nut goes to pos. side of battery, this is the one I crossed with the small nut. The second large nut goes to the alternator when crossed with hot lead, spins. Good spark. Cannot find any safety switches anywhere, under seat, deck, nowhere. Engine will not crank at all when turning switch on dash. no spark at the plug unless switch is in "on" position. Also turns over with PTO engaged,, which is should not. also turns over whether clutch is in or out. Not sure if condensor is a factor or not since I do have a real good spark snap at the plug. ( yes, it has gas!!!) Thanks

There is a seat safety, you just haven't found it...there is also either a shift/neutral safety, or some kind of clutch safety. Again, you just haven't found it...

As for not starting with the key, either one of those safeties is "open", or you lost the ground between the switch and frame...got rusty bolts on the frame panels?

As for the engine not starting, have you cleaned the Air Filter recently??? Have you verified that fuel is getting through that little Fuel Filter in the line to the engine? Or does it just "smell" flooded? Go back to safeties and switch...

Also check the ignition fuse, usually in a single fuse holder somewhere...

Why won't my cub cadet 1042 riding Lawn Mower start?

Consider that an internal combustion engine needs the following: spark, fuel, and air. Check the obvious first, make sure that you have spark.....or just replace the Spark Plug. Clean the Air Filter (or replace it), make sure you have fresh gas in the tank. If it still fails to start, is it turning over?? If not, have the battery checked. If it turns over, but won't start, possibly the Starter Solenoid is bad. There are 101 little things that could be your problem (bad wiring, wire disconnected, etc. etc.). Approach the problem via process of elimination.

Who can help me with motor and drive train vibration?

I am having a problem with motor and drive train vibration on the 3 Cub Cadet Garden Tractors I have. A 1200 standard shift and a hydrostatic 1250 and 1450. As RPMs are increased vibration increases to the point where everything shakes. HELP!

I have a couple of old int'l cadets and have only expierenced a bad vibration from the Mower Deck when the blades where not alligned or broken - meaning put the blades (with eng off) 90 degrees from each other

Why won't my Tecumseh 11HP snowblower engine start? Should I rebuild the carb?

Bought it last year. Had some stale gas near the end of the year, but I drained and put in fresh and it ran fine for a couple more storms. I changed the oil, drained the gas, and put it away for summer.

Now first try of the year it won't fire. Cub Cadet SWE528 with Tecumseh OH318SA engine.

I fear it's a carburetor issue. There is a twist, it looks like a mouse family made a nest up under the cover. I'm worried they may have chewed through something.

Things I know so far:
There is spark. The engine will run if I keep giving it starter fluid(I know, bad stuff).
There is no Fuel Shutoff valve on this particular engine and the gas cap has no effect.
Fuel flow is good up to the carb.
No fuel seems to make it into the carb though.
Primer is not spraying any gas. It does, however, have good pressure at the hose end at the carb. This has me really confused. Doesn't it take the gas from further upstream?

So is it a stuck Float Valve, or am I missing something?

Yes that is exactly what you have....a gummed up carburetor....You can probably get by with cleaning it but it must be removed and taken apart....if you are not comfortable doing this,take it to a reputable shop....When you get it back ad a gasoline additive called STABIL to your fuel cans and put it in everything that runs on gas and cranks them up and let them run for 5-10 minutes....this stuff will keep gasoline good for between 1&2 years....gas today starts going bad after 30 to 60 days...Good Luck
