I need to hook up a kill switch on my Riding Mower
The igniton went out so I have a switch hooked up to the battery to the starter to start it
But I have top put thr throttle all the way up to kill it and sometimes it does turn off
Anyone can tell me how to hook up a kill switch
And I cant do what steven said cause the plug is in the front of the motor and th hood on it is bolted on it the front to hold it on cause the shitty ass fiber glass hood broke on the bottom

Alot of kill switches kill the power to Spark Plug. Try a cable tie on the spark plug wire with a long tail after tightening it. Just pull it off and the engine will die instantly.

Why is lawn vacuum so useful?
So you love parties eh? Your home and your back yard are designed and constructed to take in large groups of people. The backyard which has a huge beautiful lawn is very appealing and attracts your guests towards it to enjoy the breeze of fresh grass. However, things were a little different when the weather gets nasty and dry and twigs are all over your backyard and it takes some serious time and effort to clean up the surroundings. If you use a rake or a Leaf Blower, you'll end up with over a couple dozen garbage bags, which would be a burden to handle and also expensive to dispose them off properly. The lawn vacuum on the other hand crushes and disintegrates the clutter thereby making things a lot simpler, easier, cost effective and green.
The lawn vacuum you'll need will depend on the size of your backyard and the space of the area that it will operate on and the number of trees on your backyard, which would give you an estimate of the amount of debris formation. If you have a relatively small backyard which is tight on space, then it is better to go for a highly portable handheld lawn vacuum. Lawn vacuum however can also be used to clean your garage or patio.
However, we need to understand that the small handheld portable lawn vacuum may not be very powerful because of the small motor that it houses but it does a decent job of collection the fallen leaves, especially the fresh green ones that have recently fallen to the ground. For a little bigger backyard, ideal one to use would be the push type lawn vacuum which is much more powerful than the small handheld ones. It makes life much better for the gardener as it effortlessly suck in most of the debris. As it is bigger and meant to be used in a bigger backyard, it will be a little hard to maneuver it around hard to reach small spaces and corners, which would need you to use a rake for those small areas.
The next one would be the large vehicle type lawn vacuum. These are a pleasure to use on large and open fields. It required much less effort and sucks in almost all the debris on the field, and also the disposable bag will take a long time to fill up as it is of much higher capacity. So which lawn vacuum to choose depends on your requirements, but it certainly is a must have tool to make cleaning of your backyard easier and efficient.

Screwing into a drywall, hit a metal sheet or stud?
I am trying to hang curtains in my apartment and have been using plastic anchors with around 1.25" long screws to secure the brackets. On one of the windows (which opens into the patio), I seem to have hit a metal stud or sheet about 5" away from and 5" above the window frame. I have ended up removing drywall material from a 3/8" circular hole upon multiple tries of securing an anchor and screw in that location.
The metal surface is around 3/4" to 7/8" deep into the wall. I have tried to use a drill bit directly on it using my 12V B&D cordless drill to no avail.
For now, I have given it a rest after filling the hole with spackle. Can anyone advise me on how to proceed next?
FYI: My apartment is on the 3rd floor. The hole location seems to be in the center of the stud or so my stud-finder suggests.

Sounds like a nail-plate. its a common and cheap/fast way to connect wood pieces. A few inches long by a few inches wide (4" ?)

My Experiences With Lawn Tractor Attachments
When I was growing up my family had an old Cub Cadet Garden Tractor that we used mostly for mowing the large lawn at our place and my grand parents. This was a great little tractor, and as I have gotten older I have really come to appreciate the plethora of lawn tractor attachments that are available for this little garden tractor.
A few years ago I purchased an old 1974 Case 444 garden tractor a have since rebuilt the engine and much of the machine. Like the Cub Cadet Garden Tractor, the Case 444 has many lawn tractor attachments available for it. Mine came with an under belly Mower Deck and a hydraulic rear tiller.
This is just the start of the lawn tractor attachments that a person can get though. There are snowblowers, tillage tools, log splitters, generators and really you name it that can either be bought or built for this and other Lawn Tractors.
It is great fun to look around on the internet to see the creativity of people as they are building lawn tractor attachments for these and other lawn tractors.
I found a forum over at yahoo that is full of guys modified and building attachments for the Case 444. There are also forums for the Cub cadet and the Wheel Hors lawn tractors as well as many others I am sure.
There are also many plans available for building attachments for you lawn tractor. One set of plans that looks like a lot of fun to build are a loader and mini backhoe for a garden tractor. While I think the loader could have many practical uses, I rather doubt that a backhoe could be of enough use to justify the work or expense to build. Never-the-less I think it would be great fun to build and play with.

What is the average ground speed of a garden tractor with mower deck disengaged?
I have a cub cadet and it seems pretty fast for a stock mower. Just wondering average ground speed (MPH) not having the mower deck engaged.
I just ran my cub cadet along side my car and it clocked at about 11 MPH.

The Origin of Tractors - A Brief History
Tractors are used today commonly for agricultural purposes. Tractors are large powered vehicles that drive and slow speeds but produce a lot of power. There are various agricultural implements that can be towed behind the tractor to do various jobs on the farm.
The first tractors came about around 1850. The earliest tractors were made of steam engines that drove a mechanical belt. These steam-powered agricultural engines were used until the early 1900's when more reliable tractors were developed.
The first gasoline powered tractor was built in 1892. Only two were sold, and this did not occur until 1911. Henry Ford was the first to mass produce tractors when he introduced the Fordson in 1917. The Fordson was a gasoline-powered internal combustion engine tractor. Ford Tractors began the widespread popularity of tractors.
A conventional tractor consists of a driver's seat between two large wheels. The engine is located in front of the driver. There are two small steerable tires below the engine compartment. This design has remained the same for almost the whole existence of the tractor. The only exceptions are the modern tractors with an enclosed cab for driver comfort and safety. Most closed in cabs come with air conditioning and heating. This makes it easier to farm in comfort. Closed in cabs also brought the idea of computers in tractors, since they can be protected.
Farm Machinery has made many new advances over the past century. There are now many different brands of mass produced tractors, the most popular over the past century being John Deere, Massey-Ferguson, New Holland, and Case IH Tractors. Most people chose brand based on what their family has had in the past. These brands created competition, and therefore lowered the price of tractors.
Farm tractors are mostly used for plowing, tilling, disking, harrowing, planting, or other similar tasks. Different farm implements are attached to the rear of the tractor. With new technology, farming has become very precise. Most new tractors have the ability to come equipped with a GPS and on board computers that show the farmer exactly where he/she is. This also leads to auto steer options. These make sure the tractor does not overlap with the previous row and waste fuel. The tractor does have to be steered at the end of the row.
Within a modern tractor, there are 5 pedals. There is the clutch, to disengage the transmission. There is a left Rear Wheel brake and a right rear wheel brake. These help the driver control the tractor during turns. There is a differential lock pedal. This assures that the same amount of power is given to both back wheels, thus preventing slipping. But, the differential lock has to be taken off during turns so that the wheels can operate separately. The last pedal is the throttle. The throttle works much like that of a car throttle. In tractors, there is also a hand operated throttle that ensures that the tractor goes the same speed up and down the different rows.

Is it more difficult to shift a 13 or 18 speed transmission on a tractor trailer than on a standard 10 speed?
I am a CDL Class A truck driver but I have only operated 10 speed transmissions..I am wondering what the shift patterns are for 13 and 18 speed transmission trucks......
I am not real sure of the pattern of the 18's, but a 13 is simply a 9 speed that you can split the top 4 gears to overdrive. Instead of coming back to low for 6th gear like you do on your 10 speed when you go into high range, you actually go into 2nd. Once you are in 6th, there is an additional slide button by your thumb on shifter handle that you slide forward for 7th. That shift there is no need for clutch, simply slide forward and let off the throttle and it shifts. Then to go to 8th, you in one motion, slide splitter button back and shift to next gear (which would be 3rd gear position. Then just continue that splitting sequence through rest of gears. You do not need to split all the gears if you don't need the power. You can simply shift as a 9 speed and once you are in final gear slide splitter button forward for the overdrive.
