Weren't you taught that the goal is not, ‘knowing’ the answer, it’s finding the answer or even better creating the answer? I suggest that you stop shouting your homework to the big funny joke pit that inhabits the answers boards and instead do a tiny bit of research. Put, “History of…” each of your choices into any search engine. See which has both radar and heating in the invention process. It is a trick question; there might be more than one if you don’t look carefully. Be smart enough to find the right answer and to know why it’s right. A side benefit is you will learn about some cool technologies and gain understanding of important inventions. That will help during finals and later you will earn more money than the lazy school zombies.

Christmas Light Installation Business - Make More Money in 2 Months than others do Year-round with your own Christmas Light Installation Business
In my experience, I would say that most Holiday lighting companies are small (2-4 employees) and only have the ability to handle a limited amount of customers each year.
Once some installation companies establish core clients after their first year, many of them don't even market. Their business comes from previous jobs or referrals from current clients, which usually is made up of neighbors, family and friends.
Each holiday season, you will find that more calls come in than can ever be fulfilled. I have found this to be a very common complaint from Christmas lighting installers: too much business! I can't think of any other industry that has a problem turning down customers!
During the first week of December, things get really busy any calls start pouring in. I have found myself telling people that I can't leave my house for less than a minimum of $400. Lighting services are in such demand that people are really willing to pay an arm and a leg to have it done.
Growth is the goal and most important aspect to your new business. Be careful though because you don't want it to grow so quickly that you find yourself overwhelmed. This will only lead to a series of problems that will have a negative impact on your business. Don't bite off more than you can chew. Only make commitments that you can keep. Never say you will do something and not follow through. Your reputation is your most valuable asset and you should protect it at all costs.
Take this business one job at a time and don't be afraid to tell a client that you are booked.
Things tend to get very busy and there is only so much you will be able to handle on your own. It may be hard at first to turn down jobs, but be aware that there is always next year.
Keep a database of names, numbers, and email addresses. Even if you don't get to them this year, you will be able to contact them earlier in the season next year to ensure that they become a client.
Make sure that you take down as many details as possible about your clients and contacts. Names, phone numbers, addresses, email addresses, how they found you, job description, and price quote are all important to have in a database. The more organized you keep your business, the more efficient you become and the more profits you make.
You should have a good handle on your strengths and weaknesses as a worker and a business owner. If you don't, you will soon learn them.
Owning a business will teach you a lot about yourself. By knowing your skills and what you bring to the table, you will be able to take advantage of many opportunities that will make your business as efficient as possible.

How do you address a group to accept change within a department?
I'm facillitating a meeting this month. Within the short time that I've been in this position, I've noticed that my co-workers have developed an inability to accept change. Since I am their equal, and new to the department, how do I address the problem without stepping on toes or being banished from the group? My superiors have given me the green light to address the problem but I've got a lack of resources for speaking points. Can someone point me in the right direction?
People tend to accept change more rapidly if:
1.) They feel they have been given some say in the matter - that, at a minimum, their input has been asked for and received.
2.) Leaders have effectively and efficiently explained the change, and the reason for the change.
Some people are just going to be reluctant to accept change. Bosses can't say "because I am the boss, and I say so" and expect people to like it.
Communicate, communicate, communicate. If possible, draft up key messages about what the change will accomplish. Will it lessen the work load? Will it increase productivity? Is it necessary to switch to a new, more modern system?
The more informed they are, the more likely workers are to accept change.

Any solar people out there?
We bought a solar Post Light with 4 Led Lights in it. We set it out the first day all 4 lights worked, the next day nothing, can't tell if the light is bad or the batteries, is there a way to test the batteries I took out? The originals that came out are AA600mAh, can I use an 800 solar battery instead of the 600's? OR to find out if the lights are bad can I use a regular battery, not solar, nor rechargeable to see if the lights come on without hurting anything? Thank You....one of these days I am going to understand all this solar stuff, but then they will change everything....
I have 6 Solar Lights in my front yard. I find that the contact between the batteries and the light gets tarnished very easy and the light doesn't work. I remove the batteries, polish the end and the tabs they connect with in the light and things work fine until the next time. When the tarnish builds up the batteries don't charge well because of the extra resistance and the light dies in the middle of the night. When it gets too bad the battery can't power the light at all. I'd fix it but I think I'll just run a low voltage out to the lights instead. That way I know they'll work.

How long will it take for my skin to get back to normal color?And are there any ways i can lighten it?
I am african american and real light skinned.Today i was at cheer stunt camp from 9 a.m to 1 p.m in the sun stunting.When i got home my legs are darker but the area where my soffe shorts were covering is still light.How long do you think it will take for it to go back to normal?Also are there any lotions I can get?
This always happens to by feet when I wear flats. Try to stay out of the sun, they'll be back to normal in a week or two. Any lotion will be good to moisturize the skin.

Toxic air is exposing Port Adelaide residents to major health risks so let's build more houses say the Newport Quays development.
The Environmental Protection Authority says this needs to be prevented. A report obtained by The Advertiser newspaper found the precinct also faced risks from explosion or fire due to large-scale storage of ammonium nitrate at fertiliser warehouses nearby. This report was handed to the state Development Assessment Commission on July 15 and has remained hidden despite requests to the State Government for its release. It was obtained under Freedom of Information laws.
Quoting from the Environment Protection Authority:
- "Residents of the proposed Dock One expansion face "high potential" of exposure to "unacceptably high levels" of dangerous microparticles known to trigger respiratory disease and lung cancer.
- The combined impacts from industries including the Adelaide Brighton Cement factory, Incitec Pivot chemical warehousing and nearby fuel storage facilities contribute to the risk.
- Housing development should be banned near the sites of existing industry.
- Vulnerable people including the young and elderly are at highest risk of illnesses, including asthma and other respiratory problems.
- Corrosive airborne particles including potassium, calcium and sodium oxides threaten to damage windows and homes."
Duh! How hard is this to understand?
The proposed Dock One development has planned 275 two and three-storey townhouses PLUS a three-storey apartment building where the old Dock 1 warehouses used to be and close the the historic Port Adelaide lighthouse. Hundreds of residents as well as the LeFevre Peninsula Primary School are already located in this polluted area. This sounds like developer greed to me.
And a lot of these existing houses have been built over the last 10-15 years when the dangers were already clearly known. In fact I make a submission about this then but was ignored.
This is an intensive industrial area on a working port with uses such as cement manufacturing, chemical storage and warehousing, chemical works and fuel storage, so why build high density housing?
There are limits to the improvements industry can make to reduce their emissions given that some emissions are inherent from their operation. There need to be separation distances recommended between housing and industry.
The Port Adelaide Enfield Mayor Gary Johanson said the peninsula had one of the highest rates of cancer and illness in the nation, but "It's actually a combination of all the industries down there, so just getting one to address it won't solve the problem," he said.
Why even think of putting new housing development in polluted industrial areas? Just where is industry supposed to move? And what on earth would this cost? These industries are currently located in the Port where they have access to shipping and their own wharf facilities in some cases, the rail to their premises and major roads.
I think back to when my brother bought a small factory zoned industrial in Brompton SA, then the suburb was rezoned residential and huge redevelopment commenced. He had to move at his own great expenses and inconvenience or else close down. At least that was possible because it was small industry that did not need rail and shipping access.
Doesn't it occur to some people that we actually do need some industry in this country? It really is helpful in producing wealth and employing people. Plus just think of the cost of importing all our fertiliser and concrete!
Plus the thing that everyone has forgotten is that the Port River is very high in nutrients as the major stormwater "drain" for Adelaide plus where they discharge the Port Adelaide sewage effluent. There is always a high concentration of nuisance algae in the river using the nutrients in the water. At present it is a larger benthic alga called Caulerpa that is using all the nutrients. This is harmful to fisheries but ok for humans but if this were removed which many regulators would like to do, the probability is that the river would get back its large blooms of toxic red tides because the cyst or "seeds" for this are there in their millions in the sediments. Previously Dock 1 had the highest dinoflagelate toxin level found anywhere in the world. Not a great place to bring up kids who want to fish outside their houses or mess about in boats etc.
Some places suit housing and others don't.
It is the same story with the airport which was built in what was then empty swampy land. Now the residents, who all moved there after the airport did, constantly complain. They chose to live there.

What is it you want, an outlet?
You could be asking for a panel, cells, or something else. If you want something cost effective, I'd go for silicon (multi or mono crystaline).
If you're trying to run a lighthouse at night off of Solar Power, you'll have to store energy during the day to use at night. You could use a normal battery bank or an electrolyzer/fuel cell combo. Depending on your light, you may need additional equiptment. If it's by the ocean or windy, wind power may be an attractive option as well.
