my Lawn Mower won't Shut Off after you release the handle, what may be the problem?
Lawn mower is a Lawnboy model 10685.
the cable betweeen the shut off anfd your handle is stuck on something. wiggle it with some needle nosed pliers, just the inside cable, not the housing, and see if it comes loose.

what causes a lawnboy 2 Cycle Engine to flood?
i have a two cycle lawn boy Lawn Mower and it will start and run and i can even rev it but no matter what i do it wont stay running ive checked and changed the Spark Plug several times and when it stalls and floods the spark plug is soaked with gas
if anyone can help me with any suggestions as far as throttle plate adjustement or upgradine to platnum aftermarket dual ground spark plugs i would be very greatful with any advice

The Basics Of Lawn Mower Repair

I need to remove the Mower Deck from my Craftsman YT 3000 Riding Mower. The manual makes no sense..any advice?
It's 8 steps, which sounds simple enough. Step 3 tells me to "roll belt off Engine Pulley and belt keepers." Easy enough. However, the diagram they provide for steps 4-7 are insane (step 8 is to remove mower...easy). Step 4 says "remove retainer spring, slide collar and push housing guide out of bracket." I get the retainer spring part, but the diagram they provide for the slide collar and housing guide is so small and dark I can't makes heads or tails....
Sorry if that's too detailed, but I just need to remove the mower deck and it's very intimidating...first time homeowner. Any help is very very much appreciated!

Choosing a Lawnmower - Which Type is Best?
There are many different types of lawnmowers with a vast array of features over a large price range. If you are shopping for a new lawnmower which one should you go for? We have put together the advantages, uses and cost range of the popular types together with some examples to help you before your next purchase.
The Different Types of Lawnmowers
Simple Push Mowers around $100
Simple reel mowers, ideal for a small lawn. Not suitable for anything larger unless you have a lot of energy!

Cordless or Corded Electric Lawnmowers $200 - $400
Electric mowers are easy to start and quieter than the Gas Powered models. Lighter weight and with fewer emissions they are considered to be more environmentally friendly. the obvious disadvantage of corded electric mowers is the necessity of dragging around the cord and restriction in the range, usually under 100ft. Cordless models are more expensive but give you freedom to move around more easily, but you are then restricted by the battery life between recharges. The most powerful models are less powerful than the top range gas powered models but should be adequate for most lawns. In addition they are not usually as reliable as gas-powered models and getting an Electric Mower repaired may be more difficult.

Gas-Powered Mowers $400 - $700
From hand push to those with a more sophisticated cruise control like system. Toro lawnmowers in this range are fitted with Personal Pace self-propel system reaching a comfortable 4 mph. Also look for a recycling system to turn your cuttings into valuable mulch for your lawn. Lawnmowers in this range are fitted with either an electric key start system or a Recoil Pull start. We personally prefer an Electric Start. These mowers will need regular maintenance and can be noisy to operate, often around 85 decibels or louder. These mowers are recommended for lawns under 1/2 acre.

Lawn and Garden Tractors more than $1000
For the really serious home owner with a large area of grass or the small commercial enterprise, lawn and garden tractors are ideal. More expensive than the gas or electric powered models but you will cut your grass in record time and be comfortably seated while doing it! Lawn and garden tractors can also be fitted with a wide range of attachments to turn your tractor into a multi-purpose riding machine. Attach a Front Blade to clear soil, leaves or other debris, turn it into a snowblower with another attachment or hitch up a trailer to move small loads.

Zero Turn Lawnmowers $3000 and above
For large areas of grass with obstacles, such as trees, benches, birdbaths etc an zero Turn Mower will be ideal. Fast, reliable, zero Turn Mowers give an excellent cut and a comfortable ride and most perform well on uneven ground. Built to last these mowers are expensive, typically above $3000. Most come with a choice of bagging or mulching. these are large machines so finding a place to store them could be a problem!

Robomowers $1300 - $2500
Becoming more popular, robomowers are literally start up and forget it! There is even a solar powered model that will trundle itself back to its recharging dock when its battery is low. Setting up your yard for the robomower to work may take between 1-2 hours. Robomowers are better on square, even lawns with few obstacles. They may work less efficiently if your yard has trees or other large objects. Durability seems to be a problem with some models and they are pricey. With the batteries the mowers tend to be heavy.

Old Boys Fight Out Epic to Meet Nadal in Semi-finals
Sometimes you have to simply admire the determination of the top sportspeople and after following five hours and 12 minutes of play on Court One over two rain-delayed days at Wimbledon, hats should be doft to Reiner Scheuttler and Arnaud Clement especially as they knew the victor would have to return the following day to face the unenviable task of taking on the fully-rested Rafael Nadal on centre court.
The veterans - both in their thirties - began their match on Wednesday afternoon on a fine Summers afternoon in South West London but soon after the rain began to, well, rain down on SW19 with the players returning to the dressing room after managing just one set of tennis, which Scheuttler won 6-3. The heavens eased and the players returned to the court in an attempt to complete their match but were forced off due to bad light and returned to action at 1pm the following day tied at one set all.
Scheuttler appeared the better player on Thursday afternoon and really took the game to his French counterpart, Clement hung in and forced a tie break but was soon behind once again in the set decider, falling to a 6-0 deficit almost in the blink of an eye and it looked certain that the German was going to take the third set. Betting on tennis however can sometimes lead to many heart in mouth's situations where the seemingly impossible becomes a reality and as Scheuttler took is foot off the gas Clement clawed the breaker back to 6-6. The 32-year-old regained his composure though, claiming the next two points to take the set 7-6 (8-6).
By this point you would have thought that both men would have been exhausted from their earlier exchanges but if that was the case it did not show, fighting their way through the fourth set with one point standing alone as the finest of the match.
After a super rally Scheuttler looked as though he had won the point, racing to pick up a deliciously executed drop-shot from Clement but the Frenchman showed all the dogged determination which has been a mainstay throughout his career to hunt down the angled return, flicking the ball back across court to which Scheuttler replied with a perfectly hit cross-court pass yet somehow the 30-year-old stretched out a backhand to volley back down court and end an enthralling passage of play. It is no wonder the match lasted so long with rallies like this! It is hard to imagine how the bandanna sporting Clement managed to reach the winning volley but it surely has something to do with his remarkable doubles talent, after all he and Michael Llodra are the reigning men's doubles Champions at Wimbledon.
The fourth set went to a tie-break which rather predictably Clement won - after all this match had to go the distance - and just to follow suit the breaker finished 7-9.
Early on in the fifth it appeared that it was going to be the Frenchman's day, breaking Scheuttler's serve but on cue the unseeded Scheuttler broke back, saving a match point with the set at 5-4.
The precipitation perplexed players and audience once more as the final set was halted at 6-6 40-40 on Clement's serve and after the delay, Scheuttler wasted no time, breaking his opponents serve before holding on to his own, taking this epic match 6-3 5-7 7-6 (8-6) 6-7 (7-9) 8-6.
We can only hope - for the sake of a match rather than walk-over - that Scheuttler can recover from this testing encounter to take on Nadal, a man more than 10 years his junior on Friday afternoon otherwise although already crowned King of clay the betting would point to Rafa being given yet another shot at dethroning Federer on the lawns of the All England Club come Sunday evening.
